Why we use photos

We celebrate our swimmers’ achievements and club spirit. Photos help us share proud moments with families while keeping every child safe.

Our Safeguarding Promise

We follow Swim England’s national rules to ensure all images are:

• Safe

• Respectful

• Appropriate for a youth sports environment

We never publish images that could put a child at risk.

How the Club Uses Photos

We may take photos or short videos:

• At training sessions

• At club events and galas

• For the club website, social media, and promotional materials

We only publish identifiable images of swimmers with parent/guardian consent.

If you do not want your child’s image used, we will always respect that.

Rules for Parents Downloading Photos

Photos on the club website are provided for personal use only. When downloading or sharing images, please follow these simple rules:

✔ Do

• Enjoy and share photos with family and friends

• Use them on your own social media sensibly and respectfully

• Check that other swimmers in the photo would be comfortable being shared

• Contact the Welfare Officer if you spot any image that concerns you

✘ Do Not

• Edit or crop photos to embarrass or sexualise a swimmer

• Add personal details (full names, school, location)

• Tag other children without permission

• Use images for commercial or promotional purposes

• Share photos of swimmers who may not have consent

Where Photography Is Not Allowed

To protect all swimmers:

• No photography or filming in changing rooms

• No mobile phone use in changing areas

• No images showing torn or displaced swimwear

• No close‑up images of children in swimwear unless part of an action shot

If You Have a Concern

Please contact the Club Welfare Officer immediately if:

• You see an image that seems inappropriate

• You believe a photo has been shared without consent

• You want an image of your child removed

We will act quickly and sensitively.
